Covenant Kodi Update

Are you a covenant user on Kodi and wondering whether your Covenant Kodi add-on is updated or not?

Well, let us first tell you something about the updating procedure of Kodi add-ons. Firstly, add-ons and kodi repositories aren’t always updated automatically. You can have it updated both manually and automatically.

Covenant Kodi Auto-Updates

  1. Go to Add-ons section.
  2. Click Video Add-ons.
  3. Right click on Covenant icon> Click Information> Here you’ll see a menu at the bottom row.
  4. Enable Auto Updates.
  5. Now it will automatically update Covenant. Either when we launch the Kodi app or while our Kodi app is running and is left idle.
  6. One thing to remember is that it’ll update automatically, only if you have installed Covenant Kodi add-on repository as well. Otherwise having a zip file won’t help.
  7. In case you are being impatient, you can search for Covenant Kodi add-on updates manually from add-ons menu.

Covenant Kodi Manual Updates

  1. Go to Add-ons section.
  2. Click Video Add-ons.
  3. Right click on Covenant icon> Click Information> Here you’ll see a menu at the bottom row.
  4. Click on the Update option, it’ll manually update the add-on.

The users are more prone towards having updated add-on rather than updated Kodi.

Covenant Kodi Reviews

Kodi is a place of wonders due to the endless possibilities it offers through its add-ons. One of the best add-on for movie streaming was Exodus, which is now out of limelight because its support is no longer available.

But it was soon replaced by Covenant, an add-on that offers everything. There are many Covenant Kodi reviews and in all of them it has been highly praised.

covenant-for-kodi

It’s obvious that a third-party add-on cannot be inch perfect and users have been complaining about it. But even in this issue raised, this user is clearly not leaving this add-on.

The issue he has raised regarding the episodes not being correct is a usual thing with such un-official add-ons. Because they aren’t official and the streams that they provide are grabbed from other portals. So this happens sometimes.

covenant-reviews

On the other hand, there are some users who aren’t satisfied by this add-on. As this user tweeted that he has an issue finding anything to play. Well, we don’t know what the real problem with his add-on might be.

But recently, many users have highlighted an error of having “no streams available” and the reason behind this error might be their ISP, network or their firewall. However, the fix for this error is available and we already have discussed it above in the errors or read our kodi vpn guide.

You can save your favorite content easily by linking your Trakt account to this add-on. It’s very easy and handy too.

Covenant Kodi Reddit User Reviews

If you go through the reviews about Covenant Kodi reddit users have published, then you’ll see that many of them are calling it a “Fork of the Exodus”. Take a look at this thread:

covenant reddit review

There are some users who are unaware of the fact that having the zip file only doesn’t provide you the streams. You should install proper repository in order to have streams and updates.

If you look at Covenant Kodi reddit reviews, then you’ll see one prominent repository being quoted every now and then namely “Colossus”.

How to Uninstall Covenant Kodi addon

Uninstalling Covenant Kodi add-on is very easy; you can do it by following these three steps:

  1. Open Kodi > Go to the Add-ons section.
  2. Click on Video Add-ons > Right click on Covenant > Click Information.
  3. Click on Uninstall > Click Yes > The add-on will be uninstalled.

Covenant replacements

Covenant Kodi add-on provides users a great experience allowing them to stream their favorite movies and TV shows on Kodi. Every day a new add-on comes up but many are unable to compete with or replace Covenant Kodi add-on. Whereas, there are a few add-ons that have the potential to be the Kodi Covenant replacement, here are a few of them:

  1. Placenta Kodi Add-on
  2. Uranus Kodi Add-on
  3. Nemesis Kodi Add-on
  4. Redemption Kodi Add-on
  5. Magic Dragon Kodi Add-on

Covenant Kodi Alternatives

Covenant has created frenzy among the users and it is irreplaceable in terms of its content and availability of streams after Exodus. However few more Addons have found their way up the trail to match Covenant.

  1. Plexus for Kodi – (Installation Guide)
  2. Poseidon for Kodi – (Installation Guide)
  3. Gurzil for Kodi – (Installation Guide)
  4. 123Movies for Kodi – (Installation Guide)
  5. Neptune Rising Kodi – (Installation Guide)

Covenant vs. Placenta

Covenant Kodi add-on and Placenta Kodi add-on have one thing similar about them; they both are forks of popular Kodi add-ons Exodus and Neptune Rising respectively. Covenant became known when the dev team of Exodus Kodi add-on announced that the Exodus Kodi add-on would no longer be updated. Ever since then, Covenant has been the dominant Kodi add-on in the community and no such add-on has come to replace it.

However, Placenta (the fork of Neptune rising) came out and went viral. This add-on has the potential and the functionality edge one-step ahead of the add-on that it is the fork of. Placenta has earned a great deal of praise from Kodi geeks and hence it has risen up to the par that it can easily replace Covenant Kodi now.

Covenant vs Exodus

Covenant Kodi add-on is the official replacement for Exodus which has been the face of free movies and TV shows streaming since many years. Exodus fans are more likely to switch to the newer version of Exodus i.e. Covenant because of the instability of the Exodus and its many broken links that have caused fury amongst its fans. In this installation guide, we provide detailed steps on how to install Covenant on Kodi that will allow you to watch free movies and TV shows.

To Wrap Things Up

Wrapping the whole thing up, let us keep it brief. This add-on is a thing of beauty. You will find a lot of Covenant Kodi reviews, and all of them will be praising it.  Covenant allows Trakt account integration with best quality streams. It is undoubtedly the add-on for movies and shows. If you have any other queries related to Covenant or Kodi then comment with your concerns below.

When I try to add source to install colossus it says it could’nt retrieve directory information. This could be due to the network not being connected. Would you like to add it anyway? Nothing happens. Any suggestions?

    • Nick Michaelson says:

Hello Joe, the error message for ‘Couldn’t receive directory information’ occurs because there is something wrong with repo link. Are you sure you are correctly inserting the link? Sometimes Kodi users do not insert (/) SLASH key at the end of the link or source which is why this error occurs. Try again and let us know.

    • Anna says:

Followed video to install Covenant from Colussus Repo but when adding source name, I am getting the following message : “Could not retrieve information. This could be due to the network not being connected.” My internet is on and working. I have entered the correctPlease help.

      Anna

      • Nick Michaelson says:

Hello Anna the error which you are receiving i.e. Couldn’t retrieve information is because the repository link is not inserted correctly. Paste it exactly as this: http://tinyurl.com/
        colossusrepo/
But make sure you do not add any space before or after the link. Do remember to put a slash key (/) at the end of the link just as I did in the above link.

        • DaveO says:

I also get “failed to install addon”. The zip file is there, but there’s no data 0B in the file.

Hello Ace, I guess Covenant does not offer this option.

    • Arthur Lowe says:

I have same issue – your guide works great, but when I enable the download option in the app settings, I don’t get the option to download an individual file rather than streaming it when I right click over the file.

      • Nick Michaelson says:

Hello Arthur, I believe Covenant doesn’t have this option.

  7. Jenny says:

Hi Nick, having an issue with the new link as well. The first link simply does not work after being entered correctly multiple times. The second one isn’t for Colossus/Covenant it’s for Mobdro. I decided to download it anyways and in Mobdro it fails to stream any videos. Do you have a third link meant for Covenant? Thanks

    • Nick Michaelson says:

Hello Alec, which link are you trying to insert it in Add Source? Because I have only provided ‘one’ link in this blog. Please paste your link here if you can and we’ll help you.

  10. Laughing says:

If the link isn’t working to the repo it’s because of the shitty tinyurl link doesn’t work all the time….why not just add the original links so people can download directly

    • Nick Michaelson says:

Hello, yes you are right you can also paste this link to the Add Source on Kodi. The link that we provided also works perfectly. It would re-direct to the same link.

  27. Bobby says:

Hello Nick you did great job with your tutorial. I was just curious if I should uninstall all the exodus and elysium before I try the covenant download.

    • Nick Michaelson says:

Thanks Bobby. Its up to you if you want to uninstall the two addons. But most probably Exodus will shut down, and Elysium is causing problems for Kodi users. So its better to uninstall both add-ons.

  28. Bobby says:

I was able to get covenant working but the hd movies won’t play…any ideas?

    • Nick Michaelson says:

hmm…That means you probably have to wait until Covenant finds an HD quality video. Are you having this problem with all of the movies or just the recent ones that were released in 2017?

  32. DaveO says:

I figured out another way to do this since there are no instructions how to download the file to your Kodi box. I have an app called Downloader on mine. I used this to go to the Kodivpn website where it says to “click here”. I clicked on that link and downloaded the file. Now go to your file manager again and add source, but this time browse. Now go to Root filesystem choose sdcard/downloader. Hopefully you only have that one file in your downloader app. Now click ok and name it colossus. Now go back to the normal steps as before and install from zip file and I think should work.

    • Nick Michaelson says:

Hey Dave, Thank you for suggestions. Which Kodi box are referring to?

  33. Anita says:

Hi I am having issues when I try and watch anything. It comes up saying no streaming available. Please help

  34. Danielle says:

When I go to install from zip file I have no idea what to pick but my xxipnfiles look nothing like that you have

    • Nick Michaelson says:

Hey Danielle, one you have downloaded the Colossu Repo zip file, you open Kodi go to Install from Zip file. From here you need to find the place where you have downloaded the file on your computer. You just need to select that. Hope this helps.

  35. Danny says:

Hi I’m trying to download covenant but the add on doesn’t come out on the list when you click on video add ons from the repository. Any suggestions to what to try next?

    • Nick Michaelson says:

Hey Danny, are you following the method for Colossus Repository right? When you go to install from repository > then you go to video add-ons > Then Covenant. Are you following these steps?

  36. april says:

Your way of installing it via firestick is not correct. There is no add-ons, package installer , install from zip. Really annoyed with every one of these tutorials being of no help.

    • Nick Michaelson says:

Hello April, the process to install a covenant add-on has been provided in detailed steps. If you look at it, you have to download ES file explorer on your Fire Stick device and then download the Zip File etc.. Which part did you not understand please let us know so we can help.

      • jenni says:

I am having the same issue as April. There is no “package installer” on the fire stick with ES file explorer.

  37. Mfd says:

    • admin says:

Hey, we have updated a new method to install Covenant which is directly through Colossus Zip File. Are you following the same method? You have to ignore the tutorial video since it follows the previous method to install covenant which has been discarded. Follow the steps mentioned in the blog.

  38. Matt says:

Trying to install covenant but comes up with “failed to install from zip file”
    Any ideas

    • admin says:

Hey Matt, you need to follow the method that has been written in the blog and NOT in the video tutorial. We have updated the entire blog on how to install covenant. We have provided a direct method. We will update the video soon.

  39. Tim Moreland says:

I am trying to download covenant on my firestick but am getting bogged down on step 15. How do you get to a generic Add-ons selection after launching Kodi? I see Add-ons, but they are specific to Pictures, Video, and Music, etc.

    • Nick Michaelson says:

Hello Tim, could you tell me which Kodi version are you using? if its Kodi 17 then you have to click on Add-ons > Video Add-ons > Then Covenant. Tell me which version are you using and we’ll help you out.

  40. Tim Moreland says:

I am unable to finish downloading covenant on firestick. Steps 1-14 are fine. The problem is with step 15. I am not seeing an option to select just Add-ons from the kodi home screen. I only see Add-ons as a subcategory under Pictures, Video, and Music. The layout is horizontal and doesn’t have the vertical menu layout I see in the screen captures above and echoed in your steps.

    • Nick Michaelson says:

Hey Tim, let me know your Kodi version and I’ll help you out.

  41. Debbie says:

Thank you so much! It worked.

    • Nick Michaelson says:

      Great!!!

  42. Deb says:

Thank you so much for the update! Was trying everything to get this installed! Single mom on a budget with a kid addicted to Peppa Pig and Ben and Holly and Indian nursery rhymes….We have already overplayed the YouTube channels so this gets us the European and Indian TV we need (newer episodes)!

    • Nick Michaelson says:

Hey Deb, im sending you a link to another blog that tells you the steps to install another free add-on ‘StreamHub’. This add-on streams many US and UK channels for free. You will find Peppa Pig, Ben, Holly, and many more with this add-on HBO Addon here

  43. Deb says:

Any other suggestions from the repository?

    • Nick Michaelson says:

Hey Deb, try StreamHub. Here is the link

  44. Glenn says:

For the first week it ran fine but now when I try to watch a movie new or old I get a message “No Stream” yet if I launch Exidus the stream is there, I just can’t watch the movie due to all the buffering. I have re-moved and re-installed the Covenant add-in several times but no luck. Any ideas?

    • Nick Michaelson says:

Hey Glenn, try removing/clearing cache from Kodi and try again. It sometimes happen due to cache overload.

Hey Tania, whenever Covenant gets updated something like this happen. Try after a day or two it will work just fine.

  48. Craig says:

Seems that the repository is down? Tried multiple times from the typed blog version. Any news? Too many downloaders?

    • Nick Michaelson says:

Hey Craig, which repository are you trying to install? Kodil repository is working just fine we have just checked. Its maybe due to the new version of Covenant that has been introduced which is why it may have been down for a while. But now its up and running.

      • Craig says:

I tried https://kdil.co/repo/ and named it Kodil and it says, “Unable to Connect” “couldn’t retrieve directory information. I appreciate ur responses and time setting this tutorial up though.

Hello, I have kodi 17.3 covenant on fire stick I am trying to figure out how to set the refresh rate so it quits stopping a movie playback randomly. It just stops and goes back to the fire stick homepage. My nephew put it on fire stick so idk how to do it. I’m just learning.

    • Nick Michaelson says:

Hello Maria, try installing the Kodi software again. There must be a problem, or reset its settings.

  51. vicky says:

I tried 3 different pages to install covenant, but each time I get installation failed. Any suggestions how to get this to work?

  52. Coach Bambam says:

    Hi,

    Kodi 17.4
    No Limits Magic Build
Covenant + others do not load – only display:
    Files
    Playlists
    Video Addons

No menu selection appears – any ideas?

    • admin says:

      Hi Coach Bambam,
If you are only seeing files, playlist and video addons as the only option, then this could be caused by 2 issues. First, the add-ons you are using are out-of-date. You can go to add-ons and update each one of them. If the issue still exists, then uninstall Kodi and reinstall the latest version. The Kodi build could be interfering with add-ons.

  53. Cory says:

Hi, I have just updated Kodi to 17.4 and trying to get Covenant loaded, but when I go to video add ons, covenant isn’t listed. Not sure what I should do next.

    • admin says:

      Hi Cory,
Looks like when you updated Kodi to the newer version, the repository for Covenant was removed during the process. I would advise you to reinstall Covenant using the steps illustrated above. Do let us know if you need anything else.

  54. Amber says:

I have tried to install covenant three times now and each time on the last install step it gives me a “failed to install” error. I don’t know what else to do.

    • admin says:

      Hello Amber,
Thanks for your feedback. Can you please provide more detail? Are you using Kodil repository to add Covenant?

  55. Brandon says:

Hello I installed covenant and everything works but have to go into system and add-ons to get to it how do I put covenant on the Kodi home screen like Exodus is?

    • admin says:

      Hi Brandon,
To bring Covenant to Kodi home screen, just open the add-on and stream any content. Add-ons that you visit most recently appear on Kodi home screen.

      • Brandon says:

To get the thumbnail in the movies section like Exodus you just use it and it will appear? Thanks for the help I figured you had to put the thumbnail there like a desktop screen at the bottom bar.

        • admin says:

Hey Brandon, thank you for your valuable feedback. We are glad it worked 🙂

  56. Samantha says:

Hi there, we just got out android box with Lodi installed and can’t seem to be able to install anything to wTch movies. It says the installation failed or something about failed to connect to network server. Please help!

    Samantha 🙂

    • admin says:

Hello Samantha, Thanks for reaching out to us. The error of ‘Failed to connect to network’ occurs the source is not correctly added. When adding the source from File Manager, make sure there are no spelling errors in the source URL and there are no unnecessary spaces. As a precaution, remove the ending slash (/) from the URL and then try loading the repo. Do let us know if it works.

  57. Nisha says:

Failed to install add on from zip file is the error message I receive. I have been trying for the last 3 hours. I input everything exact as instructed. I have the user android box running kodi 17.1 I have tried with the slash on the end and without please help

    • admin says:

Hi Nisha, Looks like the dependency is malfunctioning on your Android Box and is failing to pick up the repository. This could be due to different reasons: (a) cache data and (b) missing dependency particulars. The easiest way to fix this error is by removing the source from File Manager completely. Once it is removed, restart Kodi and reinstall the source once again. If this works, then great!
If it doesn’t, then follow these steps:
      1. Open Kodi
      2. Go to Settings > File manager > Profile Directory > Database
      3. Locate ‘Addon27.db’ and right-click to Delete
      4. Now restart Kodi and reinstall the repository (if you haven’t deleted it before)
Do let us know if this works, cheers!

  61. Tom Gunz says:

I have installed Covenant successfully on my fire stick but it takes a very long time for anything to load. im using Krypton Version 17.4, is anyone else having issues with load times? what can i do to speed up

    • Nick Michaelson says:

Hey Tom, you can try clearing your cache on Fire Stick. That will help for sure.

  62. Blondemamba says:

Hi, thanks for all your insights, I am no computer guru what so ever and your tips are very easy to follow! I just get the “no dependency” statement no matter which url I enter! Please help! I have tried the smashrepo, collosus and kdil version and I get to download convenant, but it fails at the end with no dependency! What can I do next? We loved exodus when it was working, also will it still work for series or is convenant good? Anything else to recommend?

    • Blondemamba says:

I managed to download convenant on another device but it acts just like exodus and only has IMDARK as a stream option and then will say no stream available! Aaaaaa please help us get the old exodus back 🙁

      • Nick Michaelson says:

You can also get Exodus from the same repository.

    • Nick Michaelson says:

Hey, You need to download Covenant from Kdil version as described in this guide. Sometimes, when Covenant gets updated it gives such errors. Don’t worry, we have just tried to install Covenant again from Kdil version and is working fine. If something like this comes up you just need to wait an hour or two and install again. It will work.
See the snapshot, you can see all the links provided by covenant.

  63. Nabil says:

Trying to Install Covenant on Kodi Jarvis Version 16,
Followed the same steps mentioned but on the 3 step i don’t find ”Covenant” in list at Install from Repository > Click on Kodil Repository > Videos Add-on > ?!?
    Any Help ?

    • Nick Michaelson says:

Hello Nabil, all the add-ons are listed in alphabetical order. You will find it when you scroll down to ‘C’ section. If you still dont find it let us know.

  64. Brandon says:

I keep getting the dependency on version could not be satisfied, doesn’t matter what source or zip I try installing. How do I fix this? Please message me back ASAP.

    • Nick Michaelson says:

Hello Brandon, dependency error occurs when you’ve been trying to install a repository which is not working or, if you’re installing Covenant then this issue may occur because Covenant is updating itself. Try after few hours and it will install. It happens a few times in a week.

  65. Ray says:

I have the same issue as Nabil as well.. Followed all steps but there is no covenant in the list.

    • admin says:

Hey Ray, You can find Covenant in Kdil repository. I just checked the list and I was able to find Covenant. I am attaching a snapshot.

  66. jamie says:

just downloaded and I can not get a movie . on a newer one it is a newer Kodi 17.4 and the covenant

    • Nick Michaelson says:

Hello Jaime, Covenant was updating recently which is why it may be down. Can you check if its working now? Because it is working for us.

  67. Caleb says:

So this worked for me, however it installed a bunch of other add ons. Should I be worried about that? Is there any advice on what to do?

    • Nick Michaelson says:

Hey Caleb, what other add-ons did it install? Can you tell? Because Covenant doesn’t install other add-ons except for Covenant.

  68. Garnet says:

I am in the same boat as Nabil and Ray.

admin, It’s great for you that your screenshot includes Covenant, but just above Crackler in my list is something called CouchPotato Manager.

Nothing beginning with the three letters ‘cov’ exists anywhere in the extremely long list.

    • Nick Michaelson says:

Hello Garnet, is your Kodi version upgraded?

      • Garnet says:

        Nick,

I only have an Android 4.4.2 TV Box with Kodi 16 loaded, so I don’t think I can dare try upgrading, can I?

In just now checking the system info, I supposedly have anywhere from 411 to 415 megabytes of free memory, although I have seen it suddenly drop below 400 briefly at times.

        • Nick Michaelson says:

Hey Grant, try installing Covenant from Colossus Repository. Download Colossus Repo Zip File from here.
Now Open Kodi > System > Addons > Install from Zip File > Navigate the downloaded file > Install from Repository > Colossus Repo > Video Add-ons > Then Covenant. Hope this works. Do let us know if it works Grant.

          • Garnet says:

            Success, Nick!

But I don’t know if it was this new .zip file or not ? which I had to download twice, for the first time I got a message to the effect that the connection couldn’t be made. So maybe I made a typo ? I didn’t know.

I think you probably abbreviated the steps you listed, for you didn’t indicate what I should name the file. The first time, I just left it at the defaulted name, but the second time I renamed it “Colossus”.

When I looked for it after opening Kodi, there was nothing identified as “Colossus Repo.” Maybe you hd meant that I was supposed to give it that name?

However, there wasn’t anything named “Colossus” either.

The collection of Add-ons looked no different than they did before when I said that the only add-on listed immediately above Crackler was CouchPotato Manager.

I scrolled up and down looking for anything containing the name “Covenant” or even “Colossus” or “Colossal”.

Then eventually I noticed at the very end of the long list of Add-ons was an option saying something like “View more” ? I can’t exactly recall what it said just now.

I clicked on it, but never really noticed anything; and so I went right out of that area to the Home screen and worked my way back to the Add-ons.

This time, the list was incredibly enormous. I couldn’t even find where I was supposed to go at first because they weren’t always alphabetically arranged ? it was almost as if the add-ons were in some sort of categories, and alphabetized within those.

It was all so confusing that I began wondering if maybe this was a whole new area I had not been in before.

After a considerable bit of scrolling, I eventually found Crackler. And this time there were two Add-ons between it and CouchPotato Manager ? Covenant and something called Cpasbien viewer.

I clicked on Covenant, and then saw that it claimed that it was now downloading. It took quite a few seconds before 0% moved up to just 1%, so I just left it alone and went off and did something else.

When the task was finished, I went back to the Kodi screen where one normally selects Videos if the intention is to go to Exodus from there to watch movies or TV shows.

But there was no large icon there for Covenant like there is for Exodus and the half-dozen others that are there.

I then noticed that just under the “Video” heading ? and before the Exodus icon ? was a link labelled (I think) Addons, so I clicked on that.

A list of them were displayed, including Covenant. And when I clicked on it, suddenly all the usual choices were there for choosing movies or TV shows, and then the other subsections like Genres and so forth.

I sampled three TV shows just to see what sources were listed, including one I have yet to watch ? The Inhumans. I can never access a working source for the premier episode, and that still seems to be the case for whatever reason even with Covenant.

But the movies! When I tried those, I couldn’t believe the almost endless sources! It was like a miracle, for I had pretty much given up on movies because Exodus was only providing a half-dozen sources at best for new movies, and no streams from them ever were available if they were selected.

Anyway, to be honest, I don’t know if the new download you suggested was what I found when I opted to view more addons and finally came across Covenant; or if Covenant was there in the Add-ons all this while from a few days ago, but I did not realize that there was that option to view more addons than what were being displayed.

Anyway, the midnight hour is already half finished here at the west coast of Canada, so I won’t be watching anything tonight ? I will have to wait until Friday evening before giving Covenant a trial run.

But I am feeling most encouraged ? so thank you very much for sticking with this problem I had, Nick!

I’ll give the website some mentions in my personal blog ? I already did a couple of days ago, but now I can do so with considerable praise!

I am running covenant on three separate devices. Two on an Android box and one on pc. One Android kodi version 17 works well, second Android & pc both version 16. In both Kodi version 16 applications, Movies in particular only return very few (8) sources of which all end up in “no stream available”. The same search via the android box v17 returns 90 sources with good streams. All using covenant from the Colossus repo. Updates are current. Any suggestions

    • Nick Michaelson says:

Hello Mark, I think you must update the Kodi 16 version to Kodi 17 version. Try this and let us know if it works.

      • Mark says:

Thanks for the suggestion. I updated to Kodi v17 on the pc and all was good. However, the android is a v4.4 OS (too old) and Kodi 17 won’t load (needs 5.0 OS or better) so I ended up completely uninstalling not only covenant but Kodi as well from the Android and then reinstalling to get everything working again properly. uninstalling Covenant only and reinstalling did not resolve the issue.

        • Nick Michaelson says:

That’s great Mark that it all worked out well 🙂

  70. Ashley says:

Hello. When I get to the add ons page nothing comes up. It’s empty. What are my options?

    • Nick Michaelson says:

Hey Ashley, when you get to the add-ons page you need to go to Video-Add-on and then Covenant. Did you install the Covenant add-on or it is before you installed the add-on?

  71. LORIE HEWETT says:

I installed the kodil repo that was listed above and followed all the steps and installed it and watched a movie that I wasn’t able to get on Exodus. However, it had spam and foreign language subtitles across the entire movie! At times it took it more than half the screen. Is this the only option I have to watch a movie?? Any suggestions?

    • Nick Michaelson says:

Hey Lorie, your Kodi might be corrupted because ths dow not happen while watching movies from Covenant add-on. You would need to entirely reset Kodi and then install Covenant again. In Kodi add-on official repository, you will find Fresh Start add-on. Install that and refresh the entire Kodi. This should help.

  72. Ann Scott says:

Hi, Covernant was working brilliantly at the beginning of the week and now it’s not working at all. Done all the “fixes” that I have seen explained when googling issue and nothing worked. Is this a widespread issue with an update as other people seem to be experiencing problems recently? Is there any solution?

    • Nick Michaelson says:

Hello Ann, can you tell us specifically what kind of errors are you receiving? Sometimes Covenant does not work when it is going through update changes. You can tell us which error are your receiving so we could recommend you the alternative repository.

  73. Andrea says:

Hi guys, I’ve been trying to download Covenant for the last week now and I can’t seem to get it. Is the link still correct?

    • Nick Michaelson says:

Hey Andrea, yes this link is correct. But it is the direct download method. we have discussed it in the 4th heading.

  74. Joe Bobbers says:

UPDATE 11-16-2017: Covenant Repo Colossus is Down

The Colossus Repository which contains Covenant has shut down.

This means the popular Covenant and Bennu addons will not receive any more new installs or updates.

If you already have Covenant installed it will keep working but as things break they will not be fixed.

Both are abandoned, it’s not “Temporarily shutdown”. They have deleted the github meaning there will be NO further development.

    • Nick Michaelson says:

Deleting GitHub has nothing to do with Kodi add-ons. GitHub only hosts a zip file for many repositories. These repositories can easily be downloaded using their respective URLs. Covenant can now be installed through XvBMC Repo and Kodil Repo.

  75. Judith Jenkins says:

Hi major problems trying to download Covenant for Kodi Jarvis 16.1. I am not tech savvy so once it had failed three times I gave up. Could you possibly help me with an idiots guide as to how to download, and what to look out for when it doesnt.

    • admin says:

      Hi Judith,
Can you please tell me which repository have you tried using to install Covenant ?

      • Nick Michaelson says:

You can try either XvBMC repo or Kodil Repo. Both are working fine

        • Susan says:

Tried them both. Can’t get either of them to work.
          Any suggestions??

  76. TU says:

I’ve successfully downloaded Covenant and like the program. I’m wondering if it’s now possible for people to hack into our network? Does this program make me susceptible to this?

    • Nick Michaelson says:

If you are using a KodiVPN , then certainly no one will be able to hack your computer. A VPN keeps your anonymous.

  77. Susan says:

    Tried XVBMC and Kodil.
Couldn’t get either to work on Firestick.
    Any suggestions?

    • admin says:

      Hi Susan,
Kodil Repository has been recently updated. Try re-installing Kodi on your FireStick and then install the Covenant add-on from Kodil Repository. It will surely work.

  78. Gary says:

      Hi Gary,
This error is occurring because you might have entered an incorrect URL, check if you have given a space after the URL. If you have given any spaces, remove it.

  79. Destiny says:

I tried almost all the versions before “Install covenant on kodi krypton version 17.6 or lower using lazy kodi repository” finally worked. Now I have covenant downloaded on kodi for my firestick. However, when I try any movies new or old and find a 720p option to stream I click on it and it says no stream available after loading it. I have had covenant on my previous firestick and it worked for about 5 months where finding movies with a 720p or 1080p option that will stream was not difficult but now movies that were able to be streamed before are not working now and do not show any streaming options. Not sure what’s going on.

    • admin says:

      Hello Destiny,

Its been a while since Kodi has started to render no stream available. However this can be fixed using 6 different ways to fix kodi no stream available.

  80. Tins says:

Hoping you can help. Just downloaded most recent version of Kodi. Tried both Kodil and lazy kodi but all seems fine until I go to install from zip file and the repository shows empty. Not sure what I did wrong.
