Here’s how to restore the backup files for Kodi:

  1. After you have copied Backup Folder to the new device, launch XBMC on it as well. Navigate to SYSTEM > Settings
  2. Click on Add-ons tab from the menu bar on the left
  3. Select Get Add-ons
  4. Select Program Add-ons
  5. Click on XBMC Backup
  6. Click on The installation process may take a few minutes to complete
  7. Go back to the main menu and go to the PROGRAMS menu
  8. Select XBMC Backup add-on listed
  9. Click Restore
  10. An error message will pop up. Press OK
  11. Select Browse Remote Path
  12. Navigate to the Backup Folder you selected to save your backup data in Step 19
  13. Then Click the OK button on the right side of the window

  15. Once again, choose XBMC Backup addon
  16. Then select Restore
  17. Select the Backup File that you want to restore on your device
  18. Wait for the backup restore process to complete
  19. Once the process is complete, you will be returned to the previous menu.
  20. After you are done with the above steps; you must reboot your device for the changes to take effect.
