  6. Now select Subtitles from the Tools menu> Enable Subtitles> Click OK.

  • Hello Wilby, to remove the old zip files, you need to Open Kodi > Settings icon > File Manager > Here you will see a list of repositories, old and new ones. Right Click on the repo that you need to remove and click on Remove source. It will remove the source.

  • When I try to add source to install colossus it says it could'nt retrieve directory information. This could be due to the network not being connected. Would you like to add it anyway? Nothing happens. Any suggestions?

    • Hello Joe, the error message for 'Couldn't receive directory information' occurs because there is something wrong with repo link. Are you sure you are correctly inserting the link? Sometimes Kodi users do not insert (/) SLASH key at the end of the link or source which is why this error occurs. Try again and let us know.

        But make sure you do not add any space before or after the link. Do remember to put a slash key (/) at the end of the link just as I did in the above link.

      • I'm also trying to download movies from Covenant. In Exodus when we long press on movie link, it shows the option to download the same. But when we long press, nothing happens.

  • I figured out another way to do this since there are no instructions how to download the file to your Kodi box. I have an app called Downloader on mine. I used this to go to the Kodivpn website where it says to "click here". I clicked on that link and downloaded the file. Now go to your file manager again and add source, but this time browse. Now go to Root filesystem choose sdcard/downloader. Hopefully you only have that one file in your downloader app. Now click ok and name it colossus. Now go back to the normal steps as before and install from zip file and I think should work.

  • I am unable to finish downloading covenant on firestick. Steps 1-14 are fine. The problem is with step 15. I am not seeing an option to select just Add-ons from the kodi home screen. I only see Add-ons as a subcategory under Pictures, Video, and Music. The layout is horizontal and doesn't have the vertical menu layout I see in the screen captures above and echoed in your steps.

    • Hey Craig, which repository are you trying to install? Kodil repository is working just fine we have just checked. Its maybe due to the new version of Covenant that has been introduced which is why it may have been down for a while. But now its up and running.

    • Hi Coach Bambam,
      If you are only seeing files, playlist and video addons as the only option, then this could be caused by 2 issues. First, the add-ons you are using are out-of-date. You can go to add-ons and update each one of them. If the issue still exists, then uninstall Kodi and reinstall the latest version. The Kodi build could be interfering with add-ons.

      Looks like when you updated Kodi to the newer version, the repository for Covenant was removed during the process. I would advise you to reinstall Covenant using the steps illustrated above. Do let us know if you need anything else.

  • I have tried to install covenant three times now and each time on the last install step it gives me a "failed to install" error. I don't know what else to do.

      To bring Covenant to Kodi home screen, just open the add-on and stream any content. Add-ons that you visit most recently appear on Kodi home screen.

      • To get the thumbnail in the movies section like Exodus you just use it and it will appear? Thanks for the help I figured you had to put the thumbnail there like a desktop screen at the bottom bar.

    • Hello Samantha, Thanks for reaching out to us. The error of ‘Failed to connect to network’ occurs the source is not correctly added. When adding the source from File Manager, make sure there are no spelling errors in the source URL and there are no unnecessary spaces. As a precaution, remove the ending slash (/) from the URL and then try loading the repo. Do let us know if it works.

  • Failed to install add on from zip file is the error message I receive. I have been trying for the last 3 hours. I input everything exact as instructed. I have the user android box running kodi 17.1 I have tried with the slash on the end and without please help

    • Hi Nisha, Looks like the dependency is malfunctioning on your Android Box and is failing to pick up the repository. This could be due to different reasons: (a) cache data and (b) missing dependency particulars. The easiest way to fix this error is by removing the source from File Manager completely. Once it is removed, restart Kodi and reinstall the source once again. If this works, then great!
      If it doesn’t, then follow these steps:
      1. Open Kodi
      2. Go to Settings > File manager > Profile Directory > Database
      3. Locate ‘Addon27.db’ and right-click to Delete
      4. Now restart Kodi and reinstall the repository (if you haven’t deleted it before)
      Do let us know if this works, cheers!

  • Hi, thanks for all your insights, I am no computer guru what so ever and your tips are very easy to follow! I just get the "no dependency" statement no matter which url I enter! Please help! I have tried the smashrepo, collosus and kdil version and I get to download convenant, but it fails at the end with no dependency! What can I do next? We loved exodus when it was working, also will it still work for series or is convenant good? Anything else to recommend?

    • I managed to download convenant on another device but it acts just like exodus and only has IMDARK as a stream option and then will say no stream available! Aaaaaa please help us get the old exodus back :-(

    • Hey, You need to download Covenant from Kdil version as described in this guide. Sometimes, when Covenant gets updated it gives such errors. Don't worry, we have just tried to install Covenant again from Kdil version and is working fine. If something like this comes up you just need to wait an hour or two and install again. It will work.

    • Hello Nabil, all the add-ons are listed in alphabetical order. You will find it when you scroll down to 'C' section. If you still dont find it let us know.

    • Hello Brandon, dependency error occurs when you've been trying to install a repository which is not working or, if you're installing Covenant then this issue may occur because Covenant is updating itself. Try after few hours and it will install. It happens a few times in a week.

    • Hello Jaime, Covenant was updating recently which is why it may be down. Can you check if its working now? Because it is working for us.

    • Hey Caleb, what other add-ons did it install? Can you tell? Because Covenant doesn't install other add-ons except for Covenant.

    admin, It's great for you that your screenshot includes Covenant, but just above Crackler in my list is something called CouchPotato Manager.

    Nothing beginning with the three letters 'cov' exists anywhere in the extremely long list.

        I only have an Android 4.4.2 TV Box with Kodi 16 loaded, so I don't think I can dare try upgrading, can I?

        In just now checking the system info, I supposedly have anywhere from 411 to 415 megabytes of free memory, although I have seen it suddenly drop below 400 briefly at times.

        • Hey Grant, try installing Covenant from Colossus Repository. Download Colossus Repo Zip File from here.
          Now Open Kodi > System > Addons > Install from Zip File > Navigate the downloaded file > Install from Repository > Colossus Repo > Video Add-ons > Then Covenant. Hope this works. Do let us know if it works Grant.

            But I don't know if it was this new .zip file or not ? which I had to download twice, for the first time I got a message to the effect that the connection couldn't be made. So maybe I made a typo ? I didn't know.

            I think you probably abbreviated the steps you listed, for you didn't indicate what I should name the file. The first time, I just left it at the defaulted name, but the second time I renamed it "Colossus".

            When I looked for it after opening Kodi, there was nothing identified as "Colossus Repo." Maybe you hd meant that I was supposed to give it that name?

            However, there wasn't anything named "Colossus" either.

            The collection of Add-ons looked no different than they did before when I said that the only add-on listed immediately above Crackler was CouchPotato Manager.

            I scrolled up and down looking for anything containing the name "Covenant" or even "Colossus" or "Colossal".

            Then eventually I noticed at the very end of the long list of Add-ons was an option saying something like "View more" ? I can't exactly recall what it said just now.

            I clicked on it, but never really noticed anything; and so I went right out of that area to the Home screen and worked my way back to the Add-ons.

            This time, the list was incredibly enormous. I couldn't even find where I was supposed to go at first because they weren't always alphabetically arranged ? it was almost as if the add-ons were in some sort of categories, and alphabetized within those.

            It was all so confusing that I began wondering if maybe this was a whole new area I had not been in before.

            After a considerable bit of scrolling, I eventually found Crackler. And this time there were two Add-ons between it and CouchPotato Manager ? Covenant and something called Cpasbien viewer.

            I clicked on Covenant, and then saw that it claimed that it was now downloading. It took quite a few seconds before 0% moved up to just 1%, so I just left it alone and went off and did something else.

            When the task was finished, I went back to the Kodi screen where one normally selects Videos if the intention is to go to Exodus from there to watch movies or TV shows.

            But there was no large icon there for Covenant like there is for Exodus and the half-dozen others that are there.

            I then noticed that just under the "Video" heading ? and before the Exodus icon ? was a link labelled (I think) Addons, so I clicked on that.

            A list of them were displayed, including Covenant. And when I clicked on it, suddenly all the usual choices were there for choosing movies or TV shows, and then the other subsections like Genres and so forth.

            I sampled three TV shows just to see what sources were listed, including one I have yet to watch ? The Inhumans. I can never access a working source for the premier episode, and that still seems to be the case for whatever reason even with Covenant.

            But the movies! When I tried those, I couldn't believe the almost endless sources! It was like a miracle, for I had pretty much given up on movies because Exodus was only providing a half-dozen sources at best for new movies, and no streams from them ever were available if they were selected.

            Anyway, to be honest, I don't know if the new download you suggested was what I found when I opted to view more addons and finally came across Covenant; or if Covenant was there in the Add-ons all this while from a few days ago, but I did not realize that there was that option to view more addons than what were being displayed.

            Anyway, the midnight hour is already half finished here at the west coast of Canada, so I won't be watching anything tonight ? I will have to wait until Friday evening before giving Covenant a trial run.

            But I am feeling most encouraged ? so thank you very much for sticking with this problem I had, Nick!

            I'll give the website some mentions in my personal blog ? I already did a couple of days ago, but now I can do so with considerable praise!

  • I am running covenant on three separate devices. Two on an Android box and one on pc. One Android kodi version 17 works well, second Android & pc both version 16. In both Kodi version 16 applications, Movies in particular only return very few (8) sources of which all end up in "no stream available". The same search via the android box v17 returns 90 sources with good streams. All using covenant from the Colossus repo. Updates are current. Any suggestions

    • Hello Mark, I think you must update the Kodi 16 version to Kodi 17 version. Try this and let us know if it works.

      • Thanks for the suggestion. I updated to Kodi v17 on the pc and all was good. However, the android is a v4.4 OS (too old) and Kodi 17 won't load (needs 5.0 OS or better) so I ended up completely uninstalling not only covenant but Kodi as well from the Android and then reinstalling to get everything working again properly. uninstalling Covenant only and reinstalling did not resolve the issue.

    • Hey Ashley, when you get to the add-ons page you need to go to Video-Add-on and then Covenant. Did you install the Covenant add-on or it is before you installed the add-on?

  • I installed the kodil repo that was listed above and followed all the steps and installed it and watched a movie that I wasn't able to get on Exodus. However, it had spam and foreign language subtitles across the entire movie! At times it took it more than half the screen. Is this the only option I have to watch a movie?? Any suggestions?

    • Hey Lorie, your Kodi might be corrupted because ths dow not happen while watching movies from Covenant add-on. You would need to entirely reset Kodi and then install Covenant again. In Kodi add-on official repository, you will find Fresh Start add-on. Install that and refresh the entire Kodi. This should help.

  • Hi, Covernant was working brilliantly at the beginning of the week and now it's not working at all. Done all the "fixes" that I have seen explained when googling issue and nothing worked. Is this a widespread issue with an update as other people seem to be experiencing problems recently? Is there any solution?

    • Hello Ann, can you tell us specifically what kind of errors are you receiving? Sometimes Covenant does not work when it is going through update changes. You can tell us which error are your receiving so we could recommend you the alternative repository.

  • UPDATE 11-16-2017: Covenant Repo Colossus is Down

    The Colossus Repository which contains Covenant has shut down.

    This means the popular Covenant and Bennu addons will not receive any more new installs or updates.

    If you already have Covenant installed it will keep working but as things break they will not be fixed.

    Both are abandoned, it's not "Temporarily shutdown". They have deleted the github meaning there will be NO further development.

    • Deleting GitHub has nothing to do with Kodi add-ons. GitHub only hosts a zip file for many repositories. These repositories can easily be downloaded using their respective URLs. Covenant can now be installed through XvBMC Repo and Kodil Repo.

      Kodil Repository has been recently updated. Try re-installing Kodi on your FireStick and then install the Covenant add-on from Kodil Repository. It will surely work.

      This error is occurring because you might have entered an incorrect URL, check if you have given a space after the URL. If you have given any spaces, remove it.

  • I tried almost all the versions before "Install covenant on kodi krypton version 17.6 or lower using lazy kodi repository" finally worked. Now I have covenant downloaded on kodi for my firestick. However, when I try any movies new or old and find a 720p option to stream I click on it and it says no stream available after loading it. I have had covenant on my previous firestick and it worked for about 5 months where finding movies with a 720p or 1080p option that will stream was not difficult but now movies that were able to be streamed before are not working now and do not show any streaming options. Not sure what's going on.

  • Hoping you can help. Just downloaded most recent version of Kodi. Tried both Kodil and lazy kodi but all seems fine until I go to install from zip file and the repository shows empty. Not sure what I did wrong.
